How do I look, is it all that important?
God is the only person we need to live for, because He is our maker and we were created in His likeness (Genesis 1:26).
It seems that in this day and age so much attention is placed on the exterior part of a human being. That which is most important, the inside or your spirit, is often left unattended. We groom and primp and dress just so, which is good in its true purpose, but when it is taken up so that we might be accepted or asked out of even more so...Loved, then it is only a falsity. It can become a mask we wear because we dont radiate the beauty that we are on the inside. We think we are expressing who we are or enhancing ourselves, but we might just be hiding from the fact that we cant quiet place our trust in or even face the truth about who we really are. When we dont feel comfortable in our own skin or accepted for the amazing spirit that we are, we can get caught up in a need to find acceptance.God loves each and every one of you. This is a question that many of us face and we often put too much emphasis on it. When we start to wonder what others think when they look at us we start to conform to the world and the things of it. We start to put how we look to others before how we look before God. What kind of acceptance is it really, when we are treated better because of the way we look. Ask yourself this, If tomorrow you lost the ability to walk and your face was permanently scared and it could not be restored, would you still have the same friends/boyfriend/girlfriend as you do today? Would you still want to go on? Because if the answer to either of these things is NO or even IM NOT SURE, then you have focused on the wrong things. If you still have your life, then you still have everything that is truly you. God is still alive in you through the Holy Spirit and there is so much left in life for you to do. Glorify God, first of all, for breathing life into you and Christ for dying for you and the Holy Spirit for living in you. Secondly, acknowledge, dress-up and primp the beauty of who you are inside. When you do this, all that you are in Gods eyes will spill forth out of your soul and make you the most beautiful person on the outside.
One day, when you are glowing from the inside and Gods love and life within you, someone who is at the same place in life will find their way to you through God. This is the kind of attraction you want someone to have for you. Whether it is a friend or your life partner, you will fin
