Is God Real?

How do you know God is real?

The bible reveals God as spirit, unity, and trinity: spirit- a personal, infinite being as stated in John 4:24; unity-one in substance or nature and incapable of being divided into separate parts as stated in Duet 6:4; and trinity-eternally existing in three coequal persons as stated in Matt 28:19. While great mystery surrounds Gods nature, it is reassuring to know that our God is above us. His attributes are merely words we use to describe how God is and how He acts towards us. Among these attributes are love, holiness, constancy, justice, truth, eternalness, omniscience (all-knowledge), omnipresence (all-presence), and omnipotence (all-powerfulness). The fact that we can grasp and understand as much about God is evidence of Gods desire that all peoples may know Him. These facts and statements can be found in Nelsons Open Bible. God is the creator of all things and is in all things. We were made in his image and as stated earlier, His attributes are listed in the previous paragraph. The reason so many are uncertain of these facts is that God is described in the bible and before we can come to understand the bible, we need the Holy Spirit to be our interpreter. This can only happen when you receive Jesus as your personal savior, then the empowering of the Holy Spirit is present within you and the word of God can become life to you as it is to me. This fact is stated in 1 Corinthians 2:14, But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
